I seem to keep seeing this book referenced (usually something along the lines of "oh no I've created a Bella" in the Nano forums). Why do I feel the urge to read it? It know would only lead to pain.
Why do I feel the urge to read it? The train wreck theory, perhaps? That's the only reason I read it, and it is so bad I couldn't make it past the first 50 pages or so. I gave up on it - I don't find joy in continuing something just to see how bad it can get.
I rather liked it when I read it. Although I doubt I enjoyed it for the reasons the author intended me to. It is pure train wreck syndrome fodder.
However, if you care deeply about good characterisation I'd steer clear. The only character who actually has any character beyond nice hair or being incredibly clumsey is on stage for about five minutes.
