Cost for the watch?
Jan. 28th, 2009 09:14 amMy watch strap broke. Went into Timpson. They had no Casio straps but could put on a leather strap for £7.99. The other branch didn't have any in stock but could order one for £12.99.
Alternatively I could buy a replacement watch for £7.79.
(Or buy a non-official strap from ebay for £2.99 and fit it myself).
So if I wanted a watch without a strap, would they pay me £5.20 to take it away?

Date: 2009-01-28 10:54 am (UTC)... Casio do (or at least did) sell the straps direct. I ended up buying two for my CA90 and three for my CMD40B (infra-red remote controller!) over many years ... in those days you had to post them a cheque ... how quaint!

Date: 2009-01-29 02:17 pm (UTC)I really hate shopping in Brighton for anything basic/useful. I realised a while back i could make a killing if I could carry things back from Nottingham and sell them on!
