Still undecided about Brighton Below.  At least I have some idea of new characters.  Either a misdirected supergenius with an obsession that made him end up down here (and oodles of curses) or I just pinch the Flight Officer Carsleton-Kingsbury concept (a Captain Jack costume can find all kinds of uses). Old soldiers never die.  They just fade away.  Totally true, but where do they fade away to!?

Either that or I go see the_smut_fairy . 

And still need to work out whether I'm going to Worldcon in Montreal.  First I need to work out what other things are happening at about the same time.  Yes, Tink!  I'm looking at you!

Although Lord Preston would want to immediately marry me off to one of his family...

Main problem with the character concept is lack of motivation. What does he want? Always a problem for me.

Mmm, motivation can be tricky. I'm having a little character-bleed problem between Below and 'strom right now (both characters are bodyguards, both devoted to the service of a female character: fortunately, Justine and Effiginia are ... different), so it's hard to remember Arthur's motivation. So it goes.

I like the sound of the Flight-Officer, though. Maybe he just wants to get home...? (home-time, to a home-place that doesn't exist any more..?)
