I want to make a rocket stove.

This is essentially a large metal tin, with a hole in the side for air and fuel and a hole in the top for fire.

Anyone know where I can get the large metal tin from?

Sounds a fair bit like a Kelly Kettle to me. They're expensive you buy, mind.

As for tins, old-fashioned paint tin? Golden Syrump tin?

Does golden syrup come in catering sized tins? If so I want one!

A paint tin would probably work but I don't have one. Will try and get hold of a large coffee tin.

I seem to recall most if not all coffee tins are cardboard-walled, and thus useless. But yes, a trip to the cash and carry or some similar might prove ... enlightening. BIIIIIG portions.
