It's Good to be King!

The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and I have burned so very, very bright.

When the scribes of The New World write the history, King Stephan may well be a small footnote. New character - essentially Emperor Joshua Norton - walked around telling everyone he was King. Some people seemed happy to meet him. Others seemed a little bemused. One or two were angry. And they killed him. Timed in at 7:30pm. Dead by 10:00pm. That wasn't exactly unexpected. Sadly I died before my herald arrived. And I didn't get to knight anyone. Was great though. Will have to play batshit crazy again.

My replacement character worked okay but not as much fun. The idea was to play an alchemist, sell all my stuff and spend the money in the casino. And I couldn't sell to anyone. Probably because of a lack of violence and everyone had been churning out the stuff with their retainers before they're removed from the system. And I was feeling tired. Fortunately some other guys I knew got killed, so joined up with their native group. Much better.

So I, your poor and humble Herald, had to make do with a Pirate King instead of the Great King Of Prophecy...

Twas a pity we didn't get to both be batshit crazy together. Oh well. Maybe at a future point :)

You clearly made the best of it but I sympathise and apologise. I'd have liked a herald. I will let you know next time I create a nutcase. I'm sure your next group will want some light hearted secondaries.

Being killed was fun in itself but part of me can't help being upset over lost opportunities. Perhaps I should have waited before doing anything quite so suicidal. Ah well. Coulda shoulda woulda.
