Money money money
Jul. 6th, 2004 10:51 pmThere is a dent in my car. I'm very miffed about that. Whoever did it didn't even have the decency to let me know. I suspect it was the builders working next door since it was on the pavement side.
No idea how much it will cost. I looked at the Peugeot website, but they don't give price indications.
On the plus side - Woohoo! Got offered a permanent contract. And a hefty pay rise.
I'm surprisingly happy about that. Shame it doesn't come with a change of location. On the plus side - I don't have to waste a large chunk of holidays going to interviews, I have a lot more holiday this year, and I actually have some spare spending money.
to this end, I thought I'd look to see whether I could buy a new car. According to the Peugeot web site, if I have a £5000 deposit, and can pay £500 a month over 2 years, then I can have.... A 1.1L Pug 206 with a totally different payment plan. Methinks their calculator is broken. shame really. It's the only one I found that told you how much you could afford given a deposit and replayments rather than how much you'd have to pay for a certain amount. (Except it doesn't)
Not that I want a new car yet. Don't really need one. The one I have has air conditioning, enviable fuel efficiency and perfectly adequate juice.
