I'm getting paid £200 to sit on my arse. 

I need to find a new contract, or possibly a permie job.  Let's stick to the contract stuff for now.  I'm in a good position for it.

Let's find a good job, actively chase some of these suggestions, update a CV, get 100% on this stupid annoying C++ test that an agent wants me to do, and then learn a new programming language. 

What shall I learn?

I reckon Perl and PHP are good. Lots of web work out there. My impression is that PHP is easier, and Perl is better paid. PHP is powerful and nice and easy to use (and I'm not a programmer!)

Tie it up with SQL, Ajax and stuff, and there seem to be quite a few jobs out there.
