Nov. 14th, 2009 08:12 pmSeems that OpenOffice3 interprets an opening quotation mark as a wrod This means I'ma little behind where I thought. That's not a problem. I can catch up.
Spent a lot of today rearranging the story a little an changing the political situation. It's now a civil war rather than an invasion. Main character now spends a lot more time in the city, experiencing the hardships directly. Also since there's ethnic conflict main character is now from a mixed background. Am spending a bit more time doing the selfish highwayman bit. The giving to the poor bit can wait.
I now have a chunk of orphaned plot that needs to be slotted in somewhere. It was in the wrong place anyway. If my MC is going to kill 3 people I don't want her to do it too early in the story.
Also have a few bits that don't make so much sense anymore. Will need to do a little more rewriting.
