Unseen academicals
Dec. 7th, 2009 10:45 pmSo, I read this and found it sort of amusing but can't help feeling that pTerry's books aren't quite as good as they used to be. There's been a serious decline since Monstrous Regiment.
None of the main characters really appealed. I didn't find myself caring that much for the main plot. Just wasn't epic enough. The book seemed to be largely about a football match. And the result of the football match was that there was going to be a football match. No foul creatures from the Dungeon dimensions. No risk of the end to the entire world. Not even the possibility of Ankh-Morpork being destroyed.
Is it just me?
