And I think you should have taken the labels off the coke bottles before painting them ... the wrinkles halfway down are a little weird for "metal". ;-)
But no, the bit in the middle isn't obvious to me (as where it is really from), though the shape on the left looks like a large egg, and the stuff on the right looks like a plastic tray for holding biscuits or similar ... together I don't know what they really are, but they do look suitably rocketeer-age stuff.
They're not coke bottles, they're coffee cans, but apart from that you're right. It was an experiment with gaffer tape. Insulation tape gives a much nicer edge.
Anyway, thanks for the input. Based on the vagueness of responses I think it's safe to use.
