luckykaaSaw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. As a prequel it actually fits pretty well into established canon, although it's not a perfect fit. Good fun. Yes, we do get to hear that line. Apes are beautifully realised. When did Weta Digital become *the* SFX house? Does ILM still matter?
I do rather enjoy the trailer. Initial thoughts are that that romcom is highly predictable, the Three Musketeers is - as ever with hollywood steampunk - getting too bogged down with the mad science and letting that distract from the story. "In Time" looks like hokey fun. Also looks like they've told us the entire plot in the trailer. Thanks for that... Big Fight movies seem to be the flavour of the month. Well, there's that robot boxing thing, and Warrior coming out.
Wondering whether to see Conan. AlsoSuper 8. Looks interesting. Also looks like it would be fine on DVD.

Date: 2011-09-07 09:36 am (UTC)I'm torn on watching Apes. I'm a huge fan of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, which I think is pretty much what this movie is remaking? But I fear for my darling, after the horrific Tim Burton Apes movie...
