Cloudgazing

Went to another Science geek singles meetup.  Stargazing at Regent's Park.  Not an activity that I'd ever considered, but I was encouraged to go by the group organiser, and it sounded interesting/

This time there were some actual girls there!  So we found each other, set up a new telescope, and waited for a clear sky. 

Sadly it was overcast.  So didn't actually see any stars.

On the plus side there was a nice social aspect going on.  The astronomers are a friendly bunch.  And the meetup group is good fun.  Organiser's kinda nice too:) 

Eventually we decided to give up waiting for clear skies and went to the pub.

Just missed the fast train home.  That was annoying.  A girl started chatting to me and I ended up doing the Evening Standard codeword with her, so that was nice.  She seemed to be impressed with the speed I did the thing.

Nah. I wasn't that interested, and couldn't work out how to squeeze it into the conversation. Besides, I'm happy that I'm less shy about this than I used to be.
