2011 in review

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?

Went to Israel, ran a role playing game, wrote mobile phone apps. Did a first aid course.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Not yet.  Probably won't.  Resolutions are offset by a few months because it's easier to make plans in Spring.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

One or two reasonably good friends. 

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Nope

5. What countries did you visit?

Israel.

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?

A place that I own.

7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Nothing stands out. 

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Getting a first aid qualification.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Repeated failure to do trapeze class.  Most irritating!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Nope.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Blu Ray player.  Not that it's totally amazing, but it's pretty cool and about the only major purchase last year.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

The people involved in the cleanup after the riots.  The occupy protestors.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?

Barrack Obama.  Good talker, but a very weak president.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Savings.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Seeing tinkerbell1980 again!

16. What song will always remind you of 2011?

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

IDP sims.  Sadly I was working.  Also Role Playing.

Procrastiating.  Arguing with people for being wrong on the internet

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

Spent it with family and invited a friend

21. Did you fall in love in 2011?

Nope.

22. How many one-night stands?

Hmmm...  depends on definitions.  Either none of your business or none of your business:P

23. What was your favorite TV program?

Warehouse 13, probably.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

No.  Don't do hate.

25. What was the best book you read?

World War Z!

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Some movie scores are great background work music.

27. What did you want and get?

Blu ray player.  Also a kindle. 

28. What did you want and not get?

A flat.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?

Probably Cars 2.  Not a great Pixar film but a lot of fun, and don't recall anything leaping out at me as a must-see.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

Went to Herstmonceaux Castle.  Was 35.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Getting that contract in Sweden

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?

Black and purple.

33. What kept you sane?

The knowledge that the contract will end.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Claudia in Warehouse 13.  Although she is written with a pretty broad geek brush

35. What political issue stirred you the most?

I'm not a very stirrable person.  The AV referendum probably.

That meetup group organiser.  Slightly crazy person.  Also cute nurse patsy.

Stop taking the whole love life thing so seriously.
