Cleared up my room.

After about 45 minutes, I had managed to have no effect on the apparent state of the room apart from removal of 3 boxfiles. But my drawer now contains 3 boxfiles instead of 200 sheets of assorted vaguely useful information.

But how does it get so untidy? The main activities in my room are:
Sleeping
Watching telly
Using acomputer
Watching DVDs
Reading.

And I haven't been in for the past cople of weeks.

None of these are the sorts of things one would expect to leave a lot of mess. Yet the DVD boxes pile up so do the books. So do envelopes containing important prizes I may already have won.

It's the not being in for a couple of weeks that does it. You come in, you put stuff down wherever (on the assumption you'll sort it out 'later'), you go out again or fall into bed. And so it accumulates. I spend much of Monday evening putting things away, and it hasn't made the blindest bit of difference.
