I was intrigued that the babelfish songs meme had come to me from two different routes. The first from purple_peril, and the second from ghostpaw, who got it from katchuri, who also got it from purple_peril. I don't know katchuri, and she doesn't seem to know anyone I know who knows purple peril.

There's a theory that there are only six people connecting everyone on the planet to everyone else on the planet. So, I know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows you.

I think on LJ the distances involved are much shorter.

I still remember getting the "Harry Pothead" parody poster emailed to me by both a friend at uni and my Dad about 6 hours apart, and wondering what the heck the connection was between the two of them.
