1. What did you do in 2020 that you'd never done before?
Lots of little things. Visited Edinburgh. Went to the top of One World Trade Center. Visited Olive Garden. Ran 5k
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Don't think I made any. I tend not to do new years resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
A couple of friends.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Don't think so.
5. What countries did you visit
Scotland. America.
6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021?
I want the pandemic to be over
7. What dates from 2021 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 6th because of the Capitol thing in America. December 23rd because that's when I got out"
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting home for Christmas.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Don't think I had any to talk about.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes. A nasty cold. Then Covid- which was actually milder. Vaccines! They work!11. What was the best thing you bought?
Premium upgrade on flights? Crappy laptop to keep myself sane during isolation?
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Flickums, obviously! And the people in the hotel who looked after me.
More generally, Computer Weekly and Private Eye for the investigative journalism in that massive miscarriage of justice regarding the subpostmasters.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Has to be the numpties in government. Also the idiots who stormed the US capitol. Also, regarding the above, that woman who was in charge regarding the post office thing.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Hotel bills, but I should get a lot of that back from insurance.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
New York, New Yooork!!
16. What song will always remind you of 2021?
Nothing comes to mind.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Happier
b) thinner or fatter? Thinner. Running, silks, healthier eating all helped.
c) richer or poorer? Richer. Pretty close to my goal where I can chuck in my job and start freelancing again.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Nothing really.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Flying home, being extremely clingy with Flickums, and sleeping!
21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Probably my mum. Although there was a lot of chat with Flickums and I did spend an interminable amount of time on hold with Virgin
22. Did you fall in love in 2021?
There's still only one girl for me!
23. How many one-night stands?
None!
24. What was your favourite TV programme?
Watchmen
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope. Don't do hate.
26. What was the best book you read?
Project Hail Mary was quite a page turner (or whatever the audiobook equivalent is). Also really enjoyed The Disaster Artist.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Don't think I discovered anything new.
28. What did you want and get?
A trip to America (This was the answer to the next question last year). Also a shiny new sports car.

I wanted to see Hamilton on stage.

Covid

In the Heights. Seem to really like Lin-Manuel Miranda

Went to Edinburgh. World of illusions, then had a nice pub dinner.

Getting home when I meant to

Screw it! Not like I'm going anywhere.

My crappy laptop

Zendaya. I mean, who wouldn't!
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
That whole Post Office thing where the sub-postmasters were wrongly charged with fraud due to a computer error.

Geeky friends.

Not met anyone new.
