1. What did you do in 2023 that you'd never done before?


Disneyland!

No new years resolutions.

Don't think so.

My Auntie Jean.

Santorini. Los Angeles

6. What would you like to have in 2023 that you lacked in 2022?

Still more free time! My social calendar has been crazy!

7. What dates from 2022 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Don't think anything particularly memorable happened.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

9. What was your biggest failure?

Distinct lack of notable success of failure. Call 2023 a no score draw.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Nope. Flickums sort of did.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Shredded memory foam pillows.

Phil the duty manager at Norton Canes services after we had a knock.

Probably those Trump supporters that still suypport him.

14. Where did most of your money go?

I have no idea. But it did seem to go.

Santorini!

16. What song will always remind you of 2023?

Shine On You Crazy Diamind. Listened to this on a catamaran as we watched the sun set.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Same
b) thinner or fatter? Fatter!
Fatter still. I was working against that. Then Christmas happened.
c) richer or poorer?
About the same.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Tabletop gaming. I miss doing this.

Procrastination

20. How did you spend Christmas?

At home with Flickums, eating roast Goose! We still have a whole load of goose!

21. Did you fall in love in 2022?

I fell more in love with[personal profile] flickums!

 22. How many one-night stands?

Don't do one night stands any more. Last one was 9 years ago and that seems to have led to a long term relationship

23. What was your favourite TV programme?

Well, it took me a whiole to catch it buit For All Mankind is looking intriguing.

23b. Favourite Podcast

Still going to be Cautionary Tales with Tim Harford. Although I did quite enjoy 372 pages we'll never get back.

23c. Favourite Video game

Chorus. Not had a lot of video game time.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

No. Hate leads to the dark side.

25. What was the best book you read?

I have a huge pile of books on my to-read pile and hardly had time for any of them. The ones I read, a couple were decent enough but not amazing or requiring a re-read.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?

I don't think I discovered anything this year.

27. What did you want and get?

A Christmas Cake.

28. What did you want and not get?

A hot tub. Don't exect one of these for a while though.

29. What was your favourite film of this year?

Across the Spiderverse! But I also liked Barbie, Oppenheimer, Mission Impossible, Dungeons and Dragons, and M3gan

30. What did you do on your birthday?

Birthday was a bit of a cock-up that got resolved in the best way posible. Was meant to go on a boat trip, but communication cock up meant we missed it. Was rescheduled to the next day and we went to the Atlantis exhibition and Grillicious steak house.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

More holiday

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2022?

Black jeans, geeky t-shirt

33. What kept you sane?

Having my own spaces

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Margot Robbie.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?

Buzz over the Tories getting slaughtered in By-elections.

36. Who did you miss?

I keep missing David Brider. There are many puns and silly jokes I encounter I think he'd enjoy.

37. Who was the best new person you met?

Well, Fleur was lovely.

Do not buy 3kg of meat!
