Express Express

The Mail must be gutted that they missed out on this headline.

Clearly the express are saving time by using the Daily Mail headline generator to create their front page :D

Well, theoretically they've been banned on jumped up 'health and safety' or 'ethnic sensitivity' grounds.

Problem is, newspapers like the Daily Sexpest (Express) or the Daily (Hate)Mail will sporadically make a big hoo-haa about Santa Clauses all being paedophiles (they're not), or non-Christians being mortally offended by Christmas lights (we aren't, except when they're put up in September because it's annoying), or people being electrocuted by said lights. This, unfortunatly, leads to memos being sent around local councils going "Shall we not bother this year? We'll only get sued." This gets back to the reactionary Right-Wing press (see above) who make a big hoo-haa about Christmas being banned because milk-sop Lefties don't want to upset anyone, and why therefore all non-hetrosexuals should be hung (they don't seem to get that homosexual does emphatically NOT equal kiddie fiddler), and why all non-Christians should be deported.

And then it all turns out to be a load of yarblokos and the suburb in which Christmas was supposedly banned has Santa, lights, mass consumerism, debt problems and familly feuds just like any normal Christmas.

Please note this is not a rant against Christianity, nor Christmas, but aimed squarely at the gutter tabloids.

Well I'm Jewish so Christian rents are welcome (just kidding) but I love the light. Hanukah is the holiday of lights too and the Santa for the kids is a must. Its something non complicated and magical to believe in.
