They've implemented resident's only parking in this area.

Finding a parking place has suddenly become a hell of a lot easier.

Where did all the cars go?  It's residents only or Dalek parking voucher only just about everywhere.

Finally!!!  I have hot water.

And a relatively tidy flat.

Seem to have pulled out of that depressed state I was in.

Don't seem to have a lot substantial to write.  Will post bits.

Cleaned up living room and kitchen.  Clean living room reduced stress level remarkably.  I'm now sufficiently fee of stress to realise that I've got a cold.  Thought the tiredness was just due to overwork.

Seem to be in one of my grumpy single moods again.  Maybe I should just become a pickup artist.  Hell, it was good enough for Richard Feynman :)

Decided not to go out.  Evening spent watching Neverending Story.  Will leave Watchmen until I'm feeling a bit better too.

Played Portal. Finished Portal.  Finally actually get the cake references.  I like puzzle games.

Warm flat!

I have a new fan heater.

I'm a big fan of this heater!

Now if I can just heat up the bedroom.

I have a bedroom that's slightly less freezing!  Wohoo!

The dead fuse is now presumably connected to one of the unused switches.  Wish these heaters could have an "on" light so I could actually test the fuses and work out which oine is which.

Still cold!

Yay! After a long long silence from sapling (I refuse to use people's real names on the internet).

I met her online a couple of years ago. I lived in Bristol and so did she at the time, so I thought we might get on. Then I got a new job in London, and she moved back to Kent. Took a while, but a couple of months ago I finally managed to visit. And it was great. Then I didn't hear from her for ages. And my paranoia and self doubt kicked in.

So, I sent her an email, and she replied yesterday. Yay! So I'm a lot happier now.

Acting workshop was the best yet. Improvaisation! Did lots of exercises, like create a tableu - in a group - representing a theme. Gradually getting harder. It started easily enough. Wimbledon, then murder (corpse, murderer, discoverer and someone fainting), then got harder (e.g. aphrodisiac). Other excercises, followed by an improvised production. All a lot of work, and great fun. Then we went to a bar and chatted afterwards.

And now it's over. So I need to decide what to do with my free evenings now. I want something that's totally non work related, and doesn't involve heavy brain work. A good female/male ratio would be a plus. I might do amdram, or I might try something completely different. Not quite sure what's available though.

In unrelated news, the TV moved out, and took my flatmates (The sci-fi fan and his wife) with it. I helped them move. Saw the new place. All very nice, but I'm going to miss him. And his replacement - while a perfectly amiable chap - is a sports fan, rather than the sci-fi nut type I'd have preferred. The landlord seemed very keen on him (perhaps because he works for the Bank of England), so we didn't get a lot of choice this time. And he seemed to get on well with flatmate #3.

Misread the postcard. He just wants to visit. My paranoia and his terrible handwriting meant I thought he said he was entitled to visit.

It seems that the property has been sold. At least, it was listed as sold by an estate agent/property auctioner, who are legitimate, as checked by the Estate Agent Ombudsman website, The Royal Inst. of Chartered Surveyors' website, and the Estates Gazette Directory. I checked to company's website. Has full details and names of tenants.

Flatmate called, and it was sold to the person who claims to be the landlord.

All seems above board, apart from the mysterious absense of any official letter telling us that the new guy is our new landlord.
