£6.50 because I wanted to splash out on one with a headphone jack. Amazing how cheap they are these days. Weird one this. the tuner has a digital display, but an analogue tuning knob. And picks up 7 bands of SW but not LW. I have no idea what the LOC and DX switch settings do.

I just want to listen to the radio at work. More interesting than idly browsing the internet. Hope nothing too amusing happens. People might notice I'm slacking off if I randomly chuckle at something. I'll see if I can still do work with a noise in the background anyway. Might work.

I downloaded the pawn earlier, and put it on my palm. I think I could start to get into text adventures again.

Doh!

Flatmate's network connection died. Tried plugging a different network cable into his laptop, and it worked, so assumed the cable must have got damaged (these things happen - doors shut on them and stuff).

So I bought a new betwork cable, which involved a round trip to the depot ot collect, unravelled the old one, threaded the new one behind all my furniture, plugged it in, and it still didn't work.

Turns out it's a broken router socket. Doh! Plugged the cable into socket 2 and it works.

Anyone want a 20m network cable?

Channel 5 is showing The Terminator.

It always makes me wonder what the reaction would be if you approached random people and asked, "What day is it? What date?" "WHAT YEAR!?"
