Avengers! Assemblez vous!
Jun. 7th, 2012 09:41 amSo, went to see The Avengers last night.
Apparently I should have stayed past the end credits. Normally I do but I wasn't sure whether there was anything, and it was a lot later than I expected. It was longer than I thought it would be and I got a bit mixed up with times. Plus I don't understand the transport network well enough not to take the long way round. Shall try and dig out the after credits bit on youTube.
Anyway, I discovered that VO = Version Original, VF= Version Francais. VOstBIL = Version Original Subtitled, Bilingual. Although this was in the Dutch part so the version I want is "OV". Also the machines had an English language option.
Couple of oddities:
Oddity #1: They charge for the loos. Only €0.35, but it seems odd since they have to pay someone to collect the cash. Also I got a voucher that appears to entitle me to €0.50 off something.
Oddity #2: 10 minute intermission. This is apparently a relatively recent thing in Belgium, and a little controversial. I'd rather just see the film, thanks. I can hold on!
Was wondering if I'd be able to buy a glass of beer, but if Pulp fiction is telling the truth, that's evidently just a Netherlands thing.
